Clinical Psychologist |B.A. (Hons.), GradDipRehabCouns., DPsych (Clin.)
As a clinical psychologist, I have trained in a range of modalities including, but not limited to, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, positive psychology, mindfulness, EMDR, and trauma model therapy. I have a particular interest in resilience and trauma recovery, and have extensive experience working with survivors of intimate partner violence and sexual trauma. I am also interested in the power of the unconscious mind and how this shapes our conscious experiences, often without our awareness. To this end, I have also completed a master practitioner of Hypnotherapy (Ericksonian and Conversational) and Timeline Therapy.
I have an ever-increasing curiosity about the link between the mind and body, spirituality, and our innate capacity to heal ourselves. To this end, I have extended periods of time learning from the likes of Lissa Rankin, M.D., Dr Joe Dispenza, Bruce Lipton, Inna Segal, Rebecca Campbell, and Gabrielle Bernstein. I have pursued advanced studies in reiki, shamanic healing practices, breathwork techniques, and other energy healing techniques.
I embody quite a relaxed approach so most often you will find me in the office bare foot and sipping on tea. I approach my practice with openness, acceptance, empathy and compassion to provide you with a safe and secure place to explore the challenges you might be facing. My aim is to help people to learn skills that promote resilience and enhance emotional wellbeing and personal growth.
For the most part I see little difference between myself and others. This is to say that most of us go through difficult experiences in life and most of us have times where it’s hard to get out of our own way. So, it’s my passion and purpose to provide support and to be of service to others when times get tough. I believe we are all able to achieve synergy in our lives when we have the right tools and the right mindset, which is where my knowledge and expertise lies.
I have an innate ability to see the very best in people and I love nothing more than to see people blossom into their true capacity. It’s such an honour and privilege for me to carry the torch of hope and guide you through those dark nights of the soul so you can emerge stronger on the other side, and hopefully, you will uncover the hidden gems that lie within you on the way.
